Its Powerscourt.A Beautiful Garden.

It was our first weekend in Dublin. My cousin and hubby decided to bring us to Powerscourt Garden in Wicklow. It was around an hour drive from Dublin. All i can say to describe the place is beautiful and lovely! Although now there are admission fee for both, waterfall and garden( yes, its in two different area) i still think its worth it.

The most important thing that i realize about people here is their family value. They spend quality time with their family by going to parks, gardens or even at home, which we rarely have it back home. It was a great feeling to see them. Makes me happy! ( i dont know why! :P)

Anyways, if u are in Dublin and have nothing to do, i suggest u go to Powerscourt. Check out this website for more info : http://www.powerscourt.ie/gardens

Heres how to get there by Public Transport from Dublin :

Dart to Bray & 185 bus to Enniskerry (from outside Dart station)
44C from City Centre (Townsend Street) to Enniskerry village (1.5 mile walk to Estate)
For timetable please phone Dublin Bus Tel: 01 873 4222

Its much more beautiful than this ,im just not good. :)

after a long beautiful cold day, a cup of coffee is just what you need to complete the day.

An evening at Stephen's Green Park,Dublin.

A day in Stephen's Green Park is a must if u are in Dublin! I was lucky because the weather was beautiful.Sunny but still cold. :) and the best part is, its not really that far from the city centre. Just a 5 mins walking distance from Grafton Street. For malays, there are some halal food restaurants around the area, so its kinda convenient. Well actually, to be honest, i was quite surprised to know theres a lot of Halal Restaurants in Dublin. :) Feels at home! (everyday makan nasi! aiyark! )

Anyways, here are some info of St Stephen's Green Park :

Ireland's best known Victorian public park. Re-opened by Lord Ardilaun in 1880 for the citizens of Dublin. This 9 hectare / 22 acre park has been maintained in the original Victorian layout with extensive perimeter tree and shrub planting, spectacular spring and summer Victorian bedding. The herbaceous border also provides colour from early spring to late autumn. Sanctuary from inclement weather can be obtained in the Victorian lakeside shelter or in the Victorian Swiss shelters in the center of the park.

Over 3.5 km of pathways are accessible for all users. The waterfall and Pulham rock work on the western side of the green are worth of a visit likewise the ornamental lake which provides a home for waterfowl and a garden for the visually impaired. A number of sculptures are located throughout the green. A children's playground is a popular attraction of the park. Lunchtime concerts are performed during the summer months.

Trinity it is!

Beautiful Friday in Dublin. 2nd day in the city. We decided to relax and just have a stroll in the city center. My cousin's hubby dropped us at O'connor Street (where all the shops are!). Im really bad at directions, so i just dont bother. The next thing i know is im at Grafton Street (yes, more shops!)

Anyway, besides shopping there are other interesting things to do in Dublin ~ check out Trinity College! Its somewhere along the road. If you are walking from O'connor to Grafton, u will not miss it. :) It is known as one of the earliest university in the world. (sorry if i get that wrong. im not so sure actually! ;p) and oh, theres no admission fee.

check out this website to know Trinity's history and other attractions in Dublin:

Love the ol preserved buildings and structures in Dublin! :)

Stansted to Dublin : long worthy experience

16th March 2011 - From LCTT to Stansted London

Stansted to Dublin : Not by air but by all sorts of ground transportation!

Okay, we decided to go to Dublin the LONG way because we wanted to experience the journey. After endless nights of google-ing, ive found the best way to Dublin by bus and train

From Stansted Airport, we took a bus, Terravision that brought us right to Liverpool Street. Costs us only £9 per person. You can buy the tickets at the arrival hall.

From Liverpool St, we took a tube train to Euston Square. (£4 each) which i think its quite expansive. But nevermind.

From Euston, we had to walk to Euston Station ( Ard 5 mins away) to take a train to Chester than to Holyhead Station. From Holyhead, we took the Irish Ferry to Dublin. (all for €100 -2 pax). You can get the tickets at Euston Station-find Virgin Train counters!

Chester Station
Chester hotel
Holyhead Station before departing to Dublin by ferry
Holyhead at 1am : misty
best ferry deal-more like a cruise actually!

The journey from Stansted Airport to Dublin took us almost 13hours! Some may say we are crazy but i called it an Amazing race! :) It was a fun new experience for me. :)
